Cost to taxpayer
Stop wasting money it is unnecessary. There are more pressing issues that need fixing.

This proposal is ludicrous and if implemented would be a massive waste of money that could be much better used towards housing, medical facilities and better services to areas in short supply of these necessities. The only time that moving the South African Parliament away from Cape Town would make sense would be if the Western Cape were to become independent.

Inconvenience for MPs
Malema is not paying his own travel expenses, the tax payers are. It was his choice to take the position and be a leader for his campaign. Leave the government building where it is.
You don't have to think that you can change everything just to suit you. The world does not rotate around you and what you want Malema

In 1997 We did a study for parliament move to Pta. It would have saved the fiscus R169m per year. Today it should be X10.
It could shrink gov expenses due to the savings on travel, housing and duplicate staff plus offices

First who is he that he thinks he has the right to taxpayer money to do his bidding? He didnt work for it as usual and now once again thinks he owns our money too. Malema, you have no claim on the people of South Africa's money, they worked for it, it wasn't yours that we stole, and its meant to serve the country not you! We in the midst of a major economical crisis and you seek to forful your will and spend billions , instead of solving real problems and spend money on giving people long term jobs so that they can eat and feed their families!

no more 2 cars, 2 houses to maintain, would alsocut their travelling allowence, no more summer and winter homes for them. The parlement buildings can become provincial buildings, selling off the currant buildings used for provincial offices. Selling "groote schuur and all the parlementians houses. No more closing of roads when it is parlement opening, wasting police recourses and man power.

What a complete waste of money. As if there are not enough problems to be solved. This is an extremely unnecessary step and a total waste of money that can best be spent on helping the poor, fixing roads and other infrastructure. Do you not think about the total waste of money or is it just a another way to bankrupt the country

I, like most sentient South Africans am totally fed up with the wanton wastage and theft of taxes which presently burden us. Any such change will entail costs way beyond any perceived value and will further decrease, if that is possible, any trust that remains in our present government.
Just don't do this!

Seriously can taxpayers money be used for what is actually important
