Our wildlife is one of our greatest assets especially the endangered species. To open this to potential abuse is inhuman and completely irresponsible

Wildlife in RSA is part of our heritage and what makes our country unique and a tourist attraction,so the government and the whole country benefit from this tourism.
Most of our wildlife is on the brink of extinction because of poaching and now this Meat safety act is just the last straw!!!!!!
This is the most heinous act of cruelty to these beautiful animals .
The greatness of a nation and it's progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
Mahatma Gandhi.
Our government could learn a valuable lesson from this.
This act MUST be stopped at all costs!!!!!!!

Do not murder. The Bible says 'thou shall not murder".
Our sentient friends care, love, cry, love their babies and their friends. Do the right thing. - do not murder.

It makes no sense to spend millions on anti-poaching strategies but then include endangered species on the list for human consumption!

Some of the reasons why I would oppose such legislation: 1. This seems mainly in the interest of the huge wildlife game meat business, canned lion hunting concerns and the export of animal derived products to Asia. 2. Protection and conservation of endangered species and the welfare of wildlife in general is of no or little consideration. 3. Poaching and the illegal trade in wildlife products will be much harder to police than it already is and subsequently increase. 4. The covid-19 crisis should be a reminder of the dangers of infectious diseases passing from wildlife to humans. 5. There is no provision made to ensure humane treatment of animals to be slaughtered and the Dept. of Agriculture does not have the capacity to oversee all abattoirs.

The Powers that be must keep their greedy, glutinous hands off South Africa's precious wildlife. DO NOT THEM DESTROY ANY MORE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY>

In this time it is insane to decide to kill more animals when the very life of our planet is being threatened by the imbalance caused by the destruction of the eco systems and natural reciprocity that forms the basis of all life on planet earth.
We need to be protecting animals in the wild and so thereby the ecosystems that they are a intrinsic part of.
We need to protect the lives of our children of the future , the children of all living animals on this planet for there to be Life on this planet beyond the short term benefits of profit and growth.
Life is precious , this measure is insane.
Who and what institutions of power put the life of their children at risk.
We as human beings have the power to live a dignified life , with love and respect for all life.
This measure is a backward step when we are being shown how close we are to destroying life on earth.
Its time to look inside with integrity and honesty the qualities that are held up with reverence. Not greed and short sighted human centred dead eyes that see precious , beautiful life as resources for personal gain and profit.

with compassion
