These increases are ludicrous. I pay more than double in rates than I paid 5 years ago. You want to all of South Africa stay for free in Cape Town but we have to sponsor each and every one of them

Water must be charged on usage, not property value. The proposal by the city is completely unfair.

Property rates

We get no services in our area, we have private refuge collection, we do not have sewerage and we get our power form Eskom directly. We have no streetlights and no tar roads, yet they tax as the same as the other residential suburbs. They illegally rezoned us from Agricultural to Residential and have lost the court case related, yet they continue to tax us as residential.

Property rates

The property rate increase does nof reflect the level of service delivery and crime prevention available in the area. If anything the property rates should be lowered as a result of the happenings in the area. It is embarrassing to mention where i stay to others with the negative perceptions around the area with a rapid change in opinion evident.

My concern is related to all the tariff increases. I'm barely surviving with what I'm paying now and new bill will be nearly double. I'm a single income house and looking after my pensioner parents and struggling to keep roof over our heads. The lights on and food on the table . You killing me
