2025-12-15 11:07:22 +02:00 | Richard | No I do not | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | Although this is closed now I would still like to have my say. The ANC Government really doesn't now what their right hand is doing. They call for more air and data coverage for the whole of South Africa and when the opportunity presents itself they have all sorts of confused reasons as to why the most successful operator world-wide can't establish themselves in South Africa. They allow other cell phone operators to cover countries that are hostile to South Africa and run up incedible debts which could ruin our economy without a word. Also they allow these same cell phone operators to wipe out (cancel) any data time a South African has paid good money for. This should not be allowed as all South Africans can't afford to buy data and then lose it because they couldn't use it in the 'time period' given! |

2025-12-14 11:14:00 +02:00 | Wimpie | Yes I do | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | BBBEE should be scrapped. Its making South Africa worse for almost all South Africans. The approach suggested by the DA is FAR better and more sustainable to improve the lives of all South Africans. |

2025-12-13 16:28:12 +02:00 | Mark | Yes I do | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | I support the finalisation and implementation of the Policy Direction on Equity Equivalent Investment Programmes in the ICT Sector, as gazetted by Minister Solly Malatsi on 12 December 2025.This directive appropriately recognises equity equivalent investments as a valid alternative to strict equity ownership requirements for licensing, aligning regulations with broader B-BBEE frameworks while attracting much-needed foreign investment and innovation.Allowing services like Starlink to enter the market will enhance competition, accelerate high-speed internet access—particularly in rural and underserved areas—and drive economic growth through job creation and improved connectivity.Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment policies, in their current rigid form, have often deterred investment, fostered elite enrichment among a connected few, and imposed barriers that harm overall economic progress and opportunities for ordinary South Africans. This reform is a positive step toward more effective, inclusive empowerment that prioritises real socioeconomic benefits over prescriptive ownership targets.I encourage further reviews to ensure such policies genuinely advance broad-based prosperity without stifling growth. |
2025-12-13 12:39:18 +02:00 | Nicolaas | Yes I do | 30% local ownership | I do not support discrimination by race or the government forcing companies to give anything to anyone because of their skin colour. You can call it redress all you want but it is factually institutional racism and it is destroying this once powerful country. |

2025-12-11 12:39:16 +02:00 | Tanja | Yes I do | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | Let us please open our country to international markets that can and want to help our country grow and develop. BBBEE has benefited only a select few of the ANC - it is absolutely shameful - we only have to look at all the commissions of enquiry into criminal activities. Starlink will be a game changer for the entire country. Data prices will also be lower and citizens will no longer be extorted by Vodacom, MTN and Telkom who have robbed our citizens of billions. |
