2025-07-14 17:17:24 +02:00 | Ed | Yes I do | No concern | Loosening B-BBEE restrictions for Starlink would actually BENEFIT the very people the policy aims to uplift! It will rapidly expand internet access to rural and previously disadvantaged communities, where traditional infrastructure is lacking. By enabling affordable, high-speed connectivity, Starlink would empower millions through online education, remote work, and digital entrepreneurship, achieving real economic inclusion, and even strengthen security by improving connectivity for rural police stations. In this case, easing rigid ownership requirements advances the broader goal of empowerment, delivering tangible, long-term benefits that reflect the true spirit of B-BBEE. I therefore support this amendment and urge our government to continually seek ways to attract meaningful investment into South Africa, so that our economy can grow, and our people can access better opportunities for work and development. |
2025-07-14 17:13:55 +02:00 | Keith | Yes I do | Other | If BBBEE is removed it will open up the business sector. Previous businesses that closed down due to BBBEE as the owners could not meet the requirements or refused to give there businesses away to previously 'disadvantaged' partners could now restart and allow employment. The skill sector will once again resurface. |

2025-07-14 16:54:34 +02:00 | Les | Yes I do | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | BBBEE needs to be done away with totally. We should be able to employ who is suitable for the job, it should have nothing to do with race. |
2025-07-14 16:52:38 +02:00 | Nico | Yes I do | 30% local ownership | The implementation of BBBEE has proven to be an absolute disaster. Individuals, usually politically well connected, became very rich, which was not the aim of BBBEE. Unfortunately, as so many other documented "schemes", corruption and nepotism affected the lives of ordinary citizens detrimentally. We need to look at an alternative to BBBEE, which has cost this country billions to date without any real reward |
2025-07-14 16:52:25 +02:00 | Sebina | No I do not | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | This proposal will put South Africans at a disadvantage and quite frankly does not benefit South Africans in any way. |
2025-07-14 16:49:53 +02:00 | Jurgen | Yes I do | 30% local ownership | We are in such dire need of all forms of foreign investment. For international and multinational investors, they see the local 30% ownership as an added "tax" when the business tax rate in South Africa already exceeds most international markets by 3-5%. We need investment made in South Africa on all levels to bring about a change in the 0.8% stagnation that we are struggling with. |

2025-07-14 16:45:12 +02:00 | Dinoko | No I do not | Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Framework | I fully support the principle of BBBEE to ensure that our previously disadvantaged community benefit so as to reduce the systematic inequalities created by our previous dispensation. |
