While money is being misappropriated and exorbitant salaries and bonuses being paid to individuals, no amount of money will be enough. The bill is simply opening another door and creating a precedent for revenue to be allocated to under-performing entities, to reward bad management while keeping South African citizens ransom with threats of collapse.
South African Airways will be next in line on this route

I think it is clear that Eskom cannot be saved anymore. It is a continuous struggle, privatize the institution and get it over with. As a taxpayer I am sick and tired not getting value for my money and then we also need to look after the rest of Africa e.g. Zimbabwe in terms of providing power. I doubt that these countries pay for their electricity from Eskom.

If we agree the money will probably disappear into other people's purses again. Why can the culprits not pay the money back. Why must innocent South Africans pay for other people sins.

Why does the public have to be financially raped in order to bail out a company who's finances have been stolen! Can this government not see that there is not one department that is run effeciently? This is against our Constitutional Rights! Wake up!

I do NOT support this Bill.
We cannot support and promote management incompetence and corruption using our savings for our pensions.

Eskom needs to take drastic measures in restructuring of Employees as well as salaries and bonuses. You do not receive a large salary and bonus, for mismanagement and incompetence in rhe work place. The same MUST be applicable to ESKOM.

Ridiculous! Have less members in parliament that gets huge salaries, drive the smartest cars, do not give a damn about the man in the street, pensioners must struggle every month to pay their debts and cant even eat proper healthy foo any more! Get all the stolen money back! Stop the corruption that is going on in government!

Tired oh so tired. Not going to help in the slightest.
However recovering all the stolen billions will help the situation completely.

The ANC government has shown over the past 25 years it is totally incapable of manageing a 21st century economy. They allowed Eskom and all other SOE's to collapse thus taking our pension investment will only lead to more losses and maladministration. 'leveling the playing fields' means total impoverishment for us all , except the ruling 'elite'.
