exclusivity in construction and sale licences
I do not support this bill, it has not taken sufficient factors i to account. And rather look for the best people to do the job: check proven tranck record, no connection whatsoever to government, already choosing people ahead of time is so dodgy, and without proper public participation first time round, no man, yet another piece of legislation being slipped in under our noses without the proper process. Can this government please be expelled!

environmentally sustainable development
The bill does not address sustainability of not only providing power but addressing local/residential needs. What is the current provision of gas by own means within the country compared to further importing of gas which is subject to universal price fluctuations and exchange rate.

The users whether industry or local and residential are then confronted with affordability of requirements versus sustained supply at affordable rates.

The selling of State assets without proper acceptable practices like open price quotations, fair and transparent processes is a key factor to further reduce the risk of fraud and corruption, the like of which South Africa has not seen since Thabo Mbeki was lifted out of the presidency! NT needs to be more involved and ensure compliance to not only the PFMA but other regulations pertaining to purchasing and selling within the State parameters.

Lastly, the continued forced implementation of BEE is the tool by which only the black elite and anc family and connections continue to plunder! The fact that very few poor black business entrepreneurs are benefiting from this policy is evident not only what has been revealed by Thuli Mondsela and Judge Zondo but can been seen in South Africa in general.

Forget gas power providing ships, wind farms and recommission functional coal powered fire stations, invest in nuclear and MOSGAS to make South Africa less dependent on fluctuating international supply. Build our own skills, industry to create job opportunities for the youth and unemployed, including supply chains and businesses around these industries.

Don't mess up our environment.

Too many technical errors in the drafting.

The bill had not been passed onto the committee for consideration, and he was still determining whether the entire public participation process would have to be repeated in terms of the rules of Parliament. The whole of South Africa should be a part of tenders
