Exploration or production for onshore oil and gas
Fracking is detrimental to our most valuable commodity, the countryside. It should not be a consideration and investments in greener options should be considered long before we step back in time for a method banned in so many places.

Fracking is not necessary as renewables are proven to work, especially in our sunny climate.

I have a problem with fracking in any way shape or form being applied in SA pertaining to the Exploration and Production of Onshore Oil and Gas. All over the world this process has caused environmental devastation on a massive scale. Once it is done it is impossible to reverse. In a country like South Africa where we are dependent on natural water tables and aquafers for our water it would be catastrophic. It is time to move a way from fossil fuels in its entirety. We need to protect what we have left for our children.

To me this is to make loads of money out of the already vulnerable land seeing that we have a shortage of water, is so sad.
I cannot imagine how people want to benefit from exploiting our precious environment, being on or offshore.

This issue was debated before and the country decided against it! Keep it that way, fracturing will have negative effects on the underground water of the whole country and communities will be endangered as stipulated before
