INCREASES ARE AS FOLLOWS
Property rates increase of 7.96%
Fixed Charges New fixed charges based on property values are being introduced. For instance, properties valued between R500,000 and R1 million will now incur a fixed charge of R59.90 per month
Water and Sanitation: Fixed charges for water have increased by 57%, while sewerage fixed charges have doubled (100% increase).
Electricity Home user electricity surcharges have risen by 33%, from R245 to R339.
Refuse removal charge increase of 7%
Staff salaries unknown
City-Wide Cleaning Tariff: A new cleaning tariff has been introduced, with a 100% increase in fixed costs
