The cost of living is already very expensive and citizens are struggling to make ends meet especially after the past 2 years of Covid. Tariff increases should be kept at the lowest possible to assist citizens in still being able to afford the cost of living and taking care of their families.

Increase above CPI is just not fair and this will force retired people to sell their properties because they can't afford the rates and taxes as well as the electricity fees - you don't have to be greedy.

The tariffs increase every year, job losses increase daily. Where are we going to get money to pay all these expenses while we cannot be able to take care of our families. The government is not doing anything to improve the lives of its citizens and the government is busy wasting the citizens money with commotions that are useless to us as South Africans. They should be planning a way forward on how to restore the economy of the country. They should start investing in the small business and create jobs before thinking of increasing tariffs. That is why there are so much illegal electricity connection. The more job losses the higher the crime rates. All the officials who were involved in corruption they are likely to go unpunished and they definitely won't pay the money they stole through their corruption act and we as citizens are likely to pay the money they stole that's why most municipality have so much debt. Please don't let us pay for the crimes of the corrupt officials and let's find a better way to restore South Africa's economy by investing in youth skills development, investor on smme, agriculture, manufacturing, import and export that will bring our country's economy back on line.

The tariff hike is ridiculous/abnormal. Where have you seen an increase of 15%. Even a salary increase in a year or two won't reach 15%. worse considering the load shedding we're experiencing. Our water in most parts of Pretoria are not safe for consumption/drinking.
Our municipality need to work hard and control this maladministration that is affecting innocent individuals. PowerFM news 14H00 have confirmed that (water not clean at all)

Owners of properties already pay a heafty rate. We do not see that our contribution is used to better our environment, eg. roads
