The state or government is their to ensure that basic human rights and freedoms are protected NOT govern or spiritual liberty and freedom. |

2026-02-02 21:47:03 +02:00 | Barco | No I do not | Constitutionality | Freedom of religion is a constitutional right. As is Freedom of speech. This bill sets out to infringe on both these rights. If we start tearing our constitution appart by removing even more rights from ordinary citizens we risk the stability of our democracy. Right now there are several bills proposed that propose exactly that. And I'm left wondering why we don't spend more time wondering about service delivery, curbing wasteful expenses and educating our youth. Political overreach like this is expensive and unconstitutional. |
2026-02-02 16:25:15 +02:00 | Maryka | No I do not | Constitutionality | This is one area the state shoul really keep out of. My faith is my choice and the contitution guarantees my freedom to choose. Nobody should be allowed to change that. No person or institution should be allowed to interfere, in which ever manner, in any persons believes. There was valid reasons why the court dismissed this proposal in the previous attempt. |
2026-02-01 16:58:38 +02:00 | N | No I do not | Other | Everyone has a Right to practice religion plus who will vet religious leaders & how -if you are not from that faith how can you judge/vett who is to be a religious leader/group!Even if you from that faith if you do not like a certain individual you might not grant them permission to be a Religious leader because of your own biases! |
2026-02-01 00:08:49 +02:00 | S | No I do not | Constitutionality | We all know what this is about…dictatorship in exchange for monetary… The global plan to line everything up for the day when they decide we will “own nothing and be happy”…be owned and controlled. This is outright COMMUNISM… It’s about total control. Nothing less! I outright reject is. We must be a number, with a chip, with no right to any choice in anything or any form of freedom, owned by the “Government” and elites. SA is an Christian nation and constitution built on Christian beliefs. Essentially the Government is stripping this away with this proposed “ legislation”, with no God given right whatsoever! Stop, look around… the world is in turmoil… because man believes he is God and does not need God. First the breakdown of the family unit, then financial, then the body, speech, now faith... The Government cannot serve two masters. GOD is the author of all - whom himself has said he will never interfere with each individuals free will. Who therefore are the “Government” to?. The “Government” are accountable to the citizens. This free will includes the RIGHT and FREEDOM to believe and live as each will. To choose to live their life on this earth by free will, which will be judged by GOD. No one else. State cannot interfere nor dictate freedoms, especially of faith. The pattern is evident ..downsize human capacity by removing jobs and cash, force everyone digitally, document them, remove freedom of speech, education, financial, health, morals and faith, implement chips to control and surveil every detail of one, under the disguise of “ anti money laundering”, Instill fear and control by taking away truth and righteousness under the disguise of the “hate speech” bill, …signing the WHO pandemic treaty so we can be forced to be injected with whatever the “state” deem when the next “ pandemic” arrises and if non-compliance, be persecuted and imprisioned. We are being sold out. |
2026-01-31 21:54:18 +02:00 | Helen | No I do not | Constitutionality | Government has no business regulating faith. Belief is not a policy, worship is not a permit, and conscience does not answer to the state. The moment government interferes in religion, it stops protecting freedom and starts exercising control. History has made this lesson painfully clear—and ignoring it is not governance, it’s arrogance. |
2026-01-31 21:50:19 +02:00 | Angela | No I do not | Constitutionality | I reject, outright, the idea that government has any moral or constitutional right to interfere in or regulate religion. Faith is a matter of conscience, not compliance; conviction, not bureaucracy. History shows us that when the state tries to police belief, it doesn’t protect society—it corrupts both power and faith. A government strong enough to dictate doctrine is one that has forgotten the meaning of freedom, and a society that allows it has traded liberty for control. Religion must remain independent of political authority, or it ceases to be faith and becomes just another tool of the state. |
2026-01-30 21:38:14 +02:00 | Arashaad | No I do not | Constitutionality | Why do they want to put their nose where it does not belong. Why not a law to regulate them? They want to keep passing laws that make life harder for the citizens of South Africa instead of creating a better life for all? |
2026-01-30 13:18:58 +02:00 | M | No I do not | Constitutionality | By passing this law, the CRL is going blatantly against the constitutional rights of the citizens. Stop it! |
2026-01-29 15:35:43 +02:00 | Lerato | No I do not | Constitutionality | This infringes on my constitutional right of freedom of religion |
2026-01-28 23:07:55 +02:00 | Margi | No I do not | Constitutionality | The constitution is there to protect the rights of the people, our choice of faith and religion has absolutely nothing to do with a government. Absolutely stand for religious freedom and totally reject all attempts to license or regulate faith. This obsession with our government to try and control everything has to be stopped by all South Africans |
2026-01-28 08:06:13 +02:00 | Aaron | No I do not | Constitutionality | Other than religion being guaranteed and protected by the constitution, the government should not be intervening in religious behavior, especially that it should not have power to make religious decisions for a person or organisation. Religious freedom is based on individual choices and beliefs, not something that is imposed on them. This is an area where the state should not control, because it is not the state's responsbility to oversee religion. The government should instead focus on enforcing existing laws that are there to deal with the crimes that the CRL commission use as examples to justify their case. Too often are laws proposed that threaten the freedom of the people or give power to the government, when the actual problem is that things aren't properly enforced. |
