The CRL Rights Commission is again pushing for Parliament to pass legislation and implement a system of state regulation of religion. The CRL wants to fundamentally re-set the relationship between faith communities and the State. If they succeed, this will be the death of any meaningful right to religious freedom. The CRL Rights Commission is again pushing for mechanisms to vet, license and regulate religious organisations and leaders. This threatens freedom of religion, including the spiritual autonomy of faith communities, and violates the Constitution.

We call on Parliament and the CRL Rights Commission to protect our constitutional right to religious freedom and reject all attempts to license or regulate faith.

Pearl Kupe Why State Regulation of Churches Is a THREAT to Your Faith. South Africa’s church is under pressure. Government proposals to regulate religion threaten the very foundation of our constitutional rights. But in the courts, lawyers are rising up to defend freedom of faith.

In this eye-opening episode, Dr. Pearl Kupe sits down with Michael Swain, Executive Director of 4SA (Freedom of Religion South Africa), to expose the dangerous push for state control of the church and what it means for every believer.

    In this episode, you’ll discover:

      • Why lawyers are fighting against government attempts to regulate churches
      • How these proposals contradict South Africa’s Constitution and Section 15
      • The true cost if the government gains power to decide who can preach and who can’t
      • Success stories where legal battles have protected religious freedom
      • How YOU can stand with the church to protect your right to worship

This isn’t just politics, it’s about the future of the gospel in South Africa. If we lose freedom here, we risk losing it everywhere.
