With our countries already exorbitant crime statistics and the police inability to do its job, what ate they thinking (do they have the ability). Without the private security companies doing the job of the police, no citizen or business is safe. |

2025-04-22 21:50:04 +02:00 | Richard | No I do not | Prohibited Weapons | I find it astounding that these proposed amendments actually play into the hands of armed criminals. As we know many criminals have hi-tech automatic weapons, yet this proposed legislation severely restricts security companies with regards to the kinds of weapons they may carry. The net effect of this is the criminals will have a decided advantage if there is a show down with a security company responding to an emergency. In fact, if this proposal becomes legislation the criminal syndicates will be more bold and brazen in committing crime, knowing they have greater fire power than the security companies. One wonders if the drafters of these amendments are being bribed by criminal syndicates to make it easier for them to commit armed robbery! |
