For the sake of our health safety and the health safety of others like us please do the right thing. I feel strongly about the other points too but our asthma has been progressively getting worse over time. Allergies and excemas is common day now and the remedies are expensive. All costs we have to beare. |

Having proudly resided in Erasmia for 55 years, we have witnessed a severe and unacceptable deterioration in our quality of life. Over the years, the intensity and frequency of industrial disruptions have significantly increased. Specifically, we strongly object to: Heavy Blasting: Causing severe structural foundation and wall cracking in neighbouring homes. Unregulated Fugitive Dust Fallout: Causing documented respiratory illness and coating our properties, threatening our daily health and well-being. Noise Pollution: Industrial rock crushing and drilling operating during late-night hours and weekends, robbing us of peace and rest. We OBJECT to PPC Laudium Quarry’s ongoing operations in their current unmitigated form. We demand immediate regulatory enforcement and compliance sanctions, including immediate DMRE Section 54 Stoppage Orders, City of Tshwane Section 31L Compliance Notices, and the public disclosure of all withheld EMPr, AEL, and scientific monitoring records. We expect open, transparent, and responsive action to be taken immediately to safeguard our community and our home of over half a century. We look forward to your urgent intervention and written response outlining the steps being taken. | |

The mine states an accredited consultant was appointed to monitor dust, noise, and vibration, and that dust buckets installed since February 2025 have not exceeded statutory thresholds. - Historical Land Use:
Management argues the quarry has operated lawfully for over 60 years and supplies essential building aggregates across the City of Tshwane economic corridor. - Causation:

Lawful quarrying does not entitle an operator to run aggregate crushers and heavy drill rigs at midnight or on Sunday mornings in close proximity to residential zones. - Regulatory Abdication:
The DMRE Mine Health & Safety Inspectorate and City of Tshwane Environmental Health have repeatedly failed to issue compliance notices despite numerous formal complaints, necessitating escalation directly to the Presidency.
