This leads to severe weather changes in the form of flooding and damage crops as well as infrastructure. Control oriented . South Africa should rather spend that money on it’s own citizens and infrastructure like clean energy and water, not waste money it can’t afford. Look after your own people. |

The large contribution to this and SA accepting the funding will mean the country is no longer free but owned by those who make the investments We all know that money disappears in the ANC coffers so how would this be managed and accounted for? SA needs to focus on job creation, resolving the education crisis, eradicate crime and repairing infrastructure, to mention just a few, before taking on yet another project that the government is not equipped for. |

Climate Change is not based on CO2 on this planet, it is controlled by the path of the earth around the sun ans the distance from the sun. Studies have shown that the increase or decrease in CO2 in the atmosphere follws changes in the suns heat by a factor of 800 years. Trying to decrease CO2, which is only 0.001 percent of the atmospheric content is a confidence trick. |

I do not believe that this control will benefit either the planet or the individual. There needs to be more proactive steps to stop single use plastic and protect natural spaces including the ocean. That will bring about real change. |

The money is not for free. Combined with that I do not believe what the agreement proposes is what it will achieve. Our first and most fundamental priority should be economic growth and getting people in our country up the hierarchy of society so they can care about solar panels but the reality for a lot of people is they are just thinking what they will eat tomorrow. Climate change is not a bigger problem than poverty and joblessness in our country. Integrate solar and wind where it makes sense but renewables by itself is not sufficient to power industries. We will still have to rely on fossil fuels. |

In construction, installation & demolition phases - you get noise & visual intrusion, greenhouse gas emissions, water & soil pollution, energy consumption, labour accidents, impact on sensitive ecosystems & archaeological sites/ habitat loss/ non recyclable! Wind Farms: Ideal wind sites often in remote locations/ turbines produce noise/ alter visual aesthetics/ negatively impact local wildlife/ habitat loss/ damage to blades via bird & lightning strikes, rainfall, blade furniture detachment, delamination, leading-edge corrosion or blade cracks/ non recyclable! Ignorance is a choice - I pray people start educating themselves. |
