as it is, EVEN PRIVATE hospitals are understaffed, and busy going to RUIN with the BBBEEE mandates.
i have experienced lazy, incompetent, racist nurses and drs who simply don't seem to know their job.
they take HOURS to see patients at CASUALTIES of all places!
the private hospital near me also has a FILTHY casualty department!
how much WORSE will it be with the freeloaders invading there too!
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
THERE IS A REASON I PAY EXPENSIVE MEDICAL AID FEES!
AND, there is a REASON i pay TAX.
TAX that is SUPPOSED to be used for running competent and clean state hospitals, LIKE DURING APARTHEID YEARS!!!!!

Where does the government expect to find the funds to fund the NHI? The State hospitals are already treated like an NHI and the government has not looked after those, sadly for the patients that need it. It is a joke as there are so few left in the country that they want to make sponsor the funds. The wealthy ones with money have already left.

We have hundreds of state owned hospitals, why not just undoing blunders of the past? Cheapest way to the solution. Secondly this is an easy way for cANCer to steal more money. The government has not maintained government hospitals, or any other government institutions since inception in 1994 and up to now. everything is falling apart in all government depatments. Just ook at the state of biuldings, admin, oficce eequipment and facilities at police stations, home affairs, courts, hospitals, etc.

Ask yourself. How are they going to run everything in the NHI without proper facilities? Do they have the will and skills and resources to do it properly? I don't think so.

The concept of universal healthcare is the ideal, however given the Governments lack of ability to maintain the current state health system, there is no ways they will be able to implement NHI.
Giving the minister key appointment rights only allows for more state capture and cadre deployments of unqualified candidates

There is no money for such a venture. It is an unnecessary new burden to be placed on the shoulders of the already overburdened South African tax payer.

If the ANC governnent could not maintain the hospitals and clinics they were handed, how can we even believe they will impliment and maintain NHI? NHI must fall!!

This money will also just disappear into the abys where the taxpayers money seems to vanish into..with no recourse.
