James | No I do not | The application in its entirety | Due to poor performance, poor management of infrastructure and on going corruption, the citizens of the country keep having to pay more and more for electricity, while simultaneously enduring load shedding. This is unacceptable service delivery and it is unjust to continue to expect the citizens to foot the bill for these issues. |
Coen & Olivia | No I do not | The application in its entirety | We pay direct to Escom - Need to have the days and the heavy tarriffs which are applied ie... 5 extra charges and more often than not, do not have electricity on all the days charged. Collect the stolen monies escom!!! |

johann | No I do not | The application in its entirety | get the BILLIONS owed by all, back, stop the thieving in Escom, & cut ALL the illegal connections, and then - just maybe, then, you will survive. |
Le Roux | Not fully | Other | they want more money for what. they need toe start with the townships with all the illegal connection and they don't have to increase the power price |

Erna | No I do not | The impact of Eskom’s application | Just so they can steal more money. There is currently so much corruption in the ANC government we trust NO ONE!!!!!! PATHETIC |
Owen | No I do not | The application in its entirety | We are already paying allot of money for nothing... Everytime Eskom wants an increase we suffer as loadshedding takes place most of the time. So what's the use of paying more for electricity if you are not allowed to use it or there are more loadshedding than electricity that you paid for in a month. Daylight robbery from Eskom. |
Candyce | No I do not | Other | We cannot afford it. I am a single mother evening 1 income and the costs are becoming unaffordable to live. At this rate of increases ppl are either going to forfeit their bills or have to sell their homes and downsize. Every year we are hit with major increases that our own income doesn't even increase at the rate Eskom asks for. |
Vilesan | No I do not | The application in its entirety | It's easy for people up in their respective hierarchies to increase tarrifs but for the people themselves it's really heartbreaking. How on earth do you expect people to survive with this increase. Firstly sort out every location that is taking free power at other people's expense. Maybe if you get those people to pay for their electricity you won't be asking fellow citizens who really pay to live in this country to pay more for their lights. This is poor government choices and not fair to the fellow South Africans. |
Michael | No I do not | Other | Discuss and shocking everything increases but disability grant not enough how to eat even healthy |
Sipho | No I do not | Other | Eskom is abusing the citizens of South Africa, foreigners are taking our resources, this is against Yahwah 's will. Politicians are have no interest for South African people. But one day Yahwah will deliver us form this evil. Other countries get electricity in South africa but they don't have these difficulties like loadsheddings, etc. |
Anna | No I do not | Other | We as old age sassa pensioners how we will survive no accommodation renting private can't even have live r3 per unit already no rebate pls think about poor |
Chantell | No I do not | The application in its entirety | We are paying more and more for less electricity. We have too many loadshedding scheduled which give us no reason to pay more. We are not getting value for money. |
Grant | No I do not | The impact of Eskom’s application | Eskom staff should Stop stealing the money it gets and using that to maintain our infrastructure rather than asking for ongoing increases... the more we pay the more they will steal |

Keith | No I do not | The application in its entirety | We cannot continue throwing money at an inherent and endemic problem. We cannot continue burdening the SA taxpayer to fund inefficiencies, incompetence and mismanagement. Government and NERSA would do well by re-looking at the Eskom Business Model and reinvent and transform it completely instead of passing the buck to tax and ratepayers. |
Coert | No I do not | The application in its entirety | Give back they money and resources you stole! Get rid of eskom's corrup management and let them give back what they stole. They live without care of what their corruption is doing and have done to hard working families who just cannot manage anymore. |
Sandra Sue | No I do not | The application in its entirety | Electricity is more than our bond repayment. We have many power outages. We cannot afford to live on our current payments for electricity. Please reconsider the many that pay faithfully monthly. |
Shane-Marie | No I do not | The impact of Eskom’s application | |
Cornee | No I do not | The application in its entirety | Post COVID people are battling to manage their income, and now a huge increase in Electricity bills with low service delivery and maintenance. There should be a balance - service delivery should earn the increase. Until that is reached, it is not well received. |
Tarryn | No I do not | The application in its entirety | People are already struggling to survive as it is and now they want to raise prices again. It's unfair and it's not going to improve our standard of living. |
Butch | No I do not | The application in its entirety | When Eskom learn to manage their parastatal stop the mismanagement stop the corruption and learn to support Andre de Ruyter so that it can run efficiently Then they can ask for price hikes, why should we pay more for incompetency |
Ikageng | No I do not | The application in its entirety | Eskom's management is the party responsible for the steep increases in electricity prices we have incurred recently. It is unfair to always be passing the buck to the consumers. The following matters must be addressed at Eskom in order to deal with energy price issues, not just simply increasing the tariffs, which has devastating effects to peoples pockets and the operating costs of businesses. 1. IPP's: The rate Eskom is paying to these is higher than it's own selling cost per unit. This is unsustainable. Ho on earth was this company allowed to get into such arrangements. IPP's also provide intermittent electricity which is unreliable for keeping a stable grid. They are expensive and unreliable yet are the solution prioritized in our recent build program as a country. This is disastrous. 2. The Price Of Coal: The price of coal is highly inflated and management could simply demand better prices from the market rather than just being a passive price taker that is being swindled by coal suppliers. 3. Energy Availability Factor (EAF): The energy availability factor has been higher under previous management which had exactly the same fleet of power stations at their disposal. EAF must be made a key KPI for management. Teams that are unable to keep the system working optimally must be fired, because bad performance is being used as a case for expensive and intermittent IPP's. If our current fleet of power stations was well operated and well maintained there wouldn't be a need to the current IPP build program which is a major factor in driving the electricity prices higher. |

Billy | No I do not | The impact of Eskom’s application | When will they learn that you have a budget and need to keep to the budget. Cut of all the people that are not paying. stop steeling the funds . |
Shaheeda | Not fully | Other | They need to set the application very strict, cause Eskom is messing around. Because they have been given money when ever you hear but everytime they need funds. Also we a customer is paying for there services but what do we get out of then loadshedding and increase on the electricity. Where we the lower class can't already not cope with what we have to spend a day on electricity. Also why must they feed other countries with lower electricity prices or even feed them where there only country is struggling. |
