When my dignity is infringed upon I would want to right and for my loved ones to legally be able to let me go.

I absolutely support The Living Will Bill, I do not see the point of keeping someone alive artificially, especially if there is no hope or expectation of an acceptable life and also if the person in question has drawn up a Living Will.
If a person who is in a lot of pain and who has no hope of recovery of a deadly illness like for instance cancer should have the right to choose to die if a medical doctor confirm that he/ she will not survive. I believe that their wishes should be heard and honored.
Keeping someone alive against their will, will only result in economically destroying the lives of the family left behind and I do not believe that the State is equipped to fill this roll adequately either.

Death is inevitable for all whether you are on artificial machines to resuscitate you therefore you cannot choose over what Lord Almighty has allocated your time . You have NO right to end your life before it's your time.
Let Almighty be the Decision Maker and most definitely not YOU or your people chosen with power of attorney.
I think whole of South Africa will agree to this.
Thanks.

I think it's boils down to freedom of choice and a right to life. If you have a right to life you also have a right to die. If you feel like living is not good for you, you should be given an opportunity to tell the doctors to pull the plug or family members

As much as people have writes to health services, they must be allowed to choose what sot of health services the would prefer, how they want to leave and how they want to die. as long as these right are not infringing on other people. If it is a proven fact that a person is going to die in the next few months, why should their suffering and pain be prolonged, why should people pay for such medical bills if death is inevitable, who should be paying for it since the person is going to die anyway. rather prepare them to die in peace with much lesser pain and humiliation.
