There is no value coming from Ekhuruleni, I am not willing to pay more for anything. |

Look at Ekurhuleni — they’ve already completely messed the place up. They do absolutely nothing, while private funding organisations and NPCs are being formed by residents just to clean up and maintain our own communities because the municipality simply isn’t doing its job. These NPCs are filling potholes, cutting grass, painting roads and actually trying to keep our areas looking decent. And who is paying for all of this? We are. So let me get this straight: we pay the government our rates and taxes, and get very little in return. Then, because the municipality isn’t doing what it is supposed to do, we have to dig into our own pockets and donate to NPCs so that someone can actually get things done in our neighbourhoods. And now they want to increase the fees AGAIN?! NO! Enough is enough. Why should we keep paying more and more for services we aren't receiving? It honestly makes me want to stop paying altogether. I’m tired of paying twice — once to the government and then again to fix the things the government should have been doing in the first place! |

In Ekurhuleni they already have effed up the place they do nothing that there are privet funding institutions NPCs that are being formed to clean certain of our areas, because our municipalities dont do anything for you and know they want to increase the fees AGAIN!!!! So we pay the government and get nothing in return and then we donate to these NPCs in our areas because they are actually doing things like filing potholes cutting grass paining the road because YOU the current GOVERMENT does eff all! NO!!! No more paying for nothing!! I wish I could stop paying completely!!!! |

They are systematically squeezing the last drop out of the townspeople to fund the township. A municipality cannot legitimately demand above-inflation rate hikes while simultaneously failing to deliver the basic services those rates are meant to fund. Asking rate-paying residents and local businesses to pay significantly more for less reliable services is economically unsustainable and administrative overreach. 2. Breakdown of Service Delivery Deficits The City of Ekurhuleni continues to demonstrate systemic failures in maintaining basic municipal infrastructure: Water & Sanitation Infrastructure: Widespread, unannounced water shedding, severe pressure drops, and delayed responses to major pipe bursts lead to immense water losses and unhygienic conditions. Electrical Grid & Substation Failures: Prolonged outages—unrelated to national load shedding—caused by neglected substation maintenance, cable theft, and delayed turnaround times severely disrupt households and local businesses. Waste Management & Environmental Health: Unreliable refuse collection schedules, illegal dumping hotspots, and overflowing transfer stations violate environmental regulations and local by-laws. The list goes on an on. |

Please review stats from Observatory, there is no change in expected rainfall from over a hundred years - we don't buy into global warming and other BS, please expand catchment capacity. |
