I'm not willing, nor able, to pay for calculation errors made by NERSA. It's quite clear that the people in charge are not capable of doing their job and should be replaced by capable individuals (a.k.a. "non-BBBEE" appointments). The other concern is the ever aging, and unreliable infrastructure, which will end up costing even more money even after South Africans had to fork out money for solar energy sources. You would think the answer would be "building new infrastructure", but Eskom has proven over and over again that they are incapable of keeping to a building budget and project deadline, which means pushing up the electricity bill and making it our problem.

Not the consumers are responsible for the management's incompetence and corruption, they must take responsibility, not the consumers!

Every company is responsible for profits / liabilities and the success thereof.

1. No one except the respective body should pay and be accountable for NERSA's calculation errors. There is no accountability, hence the above. In accordance with the Constitution, accountability is an important value.
2. Why should the hardworking citizen pay full price for aging, unreliable infrastructure when " company" is incompetent of managing it ? In addition, some Municipalities already have these infrastructure repairs and maintenance included in their monthly bills. Which I must add we were never consulted on and which we have to pay.
3. Why should the consumer fund Eskom’s cash flow and construction delays?

It is not a cash pot for personal gain at the expense of millions who already pay tax. It is considered theft - taking from honest working people to cater for the mismanagement due to corruption, selfish gain and inability to be accountable.

It's ludicrous that consumers must pay exorbitantly and for so called professional top management blunders. Why is Top Management not accountable? We, as consumers are always a scapegoat and we must pay the high cost of living price. Like the saying goes, The bosses get richer and the customers get poor.

I'm beyond flabbergasted at the gall and open daylight robbery of citizens having to bail out such utter incompetence. Do they think that we have bottomless access to finance, to line deep pockets, also to carry costs to their lack of maintaining infrastructure?
