Coal mines have always been a bone of contention and needs to be weighed against the environmental impacts it has. EIA favours the developers and not the environment. It is time to stop it. The environment cannot always be returned to its original state and in this case not at all possible. Stop bulldozing the environment for so-called progress etc. We cannot allow the degradation of our environment again!

I do not support Ten new open-cast coal mines to be developed in the untouched Greater Soutpansberg Coalfield located in the far northern Vhembe District of Limpopo Province that will supply a mega industrial complex being developed on the edge of the coal-pits.

South Africa has vast experience in mining !!
Should the mining go ahead, which I certainly hope it does not;
Why allow foreign countries to mine our resources, especially China, as they will NOT employ local labour, they will bring Chinese labourers into the country.
