Why change a name that people will not even know. To suit some political arrangement or vote. What for. ???? Does not hold force or sense to me ? Being a driver I will never know where l am going with all these insane changes

Each time a map feature, such as a road, is renamed, it renders that map obsolete. If one wants to celebrate a person, erect a statue.

The city is falling apart, money and time should be better spent in fixing broken traffic lights, potholes and inviting business back into our city.

We must change to be aware of the genocide done. We have not only been able to stand with the Palestinian but also the case in the ICC. Our leader said we will be free the day Palestine get it's freedom

Financial implications
The current name is perfectly neutral. There is no need, other than a wish to provoke dissent in the community and to curry favour with foreign political party financial backers, to spend money which the bankrupt city does not have on a vanity project.

The financial implications are vast and considering the state of poverty and condition of roads etc in South Africa, spending money on this is criminal. Naming a road after a terrorist is disgusting and many South Africans, particularly the Christian community, which is at least 46 % of the population, are in support of Israel. the Muslim community is tiny, and not the majority religion. While we are all free to worship as we please, we can not and must not all be forced to acknowledge the terrorists of the world by naming our roads after people who do not value the li es and respect t the religio s of others.
