Unaffordable to the country, open to corruption. Get the public hospitals working optimally before wasting resources on NHI.

Ch.1 Purpose and Application

 |

The attempt to promote access to universal healthcare of South Africans should not come at the cost of materially impacting the private healthcare sector, who came into existence mostly due to a sever lack of proper management, planning and accountability within the states own healthcare system. Stop shifting the burden of the government's responsibilities to the people to the private sector, and own up to your own failings. The current public healthcare system is a mess, look at the rampant corruption and fraud (e.g. Tembisa Hospital). Fix what you have and the problem will in most part be resolved without resolving to further taxing the already over-taxed citizens and businesses.

We already pay so much in tax, rather take money off the already high salaries of the current ruling party and give that to people in need of free Healthcare!

Sa can't afford it. Rather fix the existing system and provide sufficient rural clinics to assist with access.

this does not work in the UK why do we think it will work here where corruption and inefficiency are the norm in government services? we do not have the money and resources to make this work. Wake up and face reality!

Our TAXES will fund this, which is impossible to achieve. Also we will have many specialists immigrating. The infrastructure of our public hospitals and CLINICS are way below standard to cope with the masses of citizens who will need to have access once this Bill is approved.

All Government, provincial, municipal and SOE employees must use the Government hospitals and health facilities.
This will ensure these facilities will be upgraded and well maintained with professional health care.

Ch.2 Access to Healthcare services

 |

It's absolutely 100 percent to equality of accessibility to health services. It will help in damage control of finance and resources that was illegal utilized by millions of illegal immigrants pouring in our country daily ,I wish the minister can visit itshelejuba district hospital and see the illegal misuse of the hospital by illegal immigrants for free they end up at IALCH,king Edward, Ngwelezane,QNRH with free transport using our tax payers money.

It is illegal and unconstitutional for people to be prevented from purchasing healthcare should they have the means to. The National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill is therefore a violation of my Constitutional and Human rights.

Ch.2 Access to Healthcare services

 |

Ridiculous - having government run the health care system would mean delays in services, lower or no service levels, increased costs with added administration burdens, corruption and plain theft, the whole system will collapse and us few taxpayers will again have to pay more and get less! Public hospitals are already basically free for those who need it - just fix their services and give the people good healthcare that need it.

Ch.8 Operational provisions

 |

I pay monthly medical aid for fast assistance on medical care. I can't waist an entire day spending time at a clinic ot hospital and hopefully someone will assist. I can't afford a leave day to be waisted. The state can't even support current patience. The private sector is a private business. Today every minute counts in an emergency. State doesn't have the time to react fast. Everything is on a go slow.

Government cant even run the clinics that are already in place never mind multi billion Rand establishments. leave private sector to do their job and focus on what your actual place in society is. this will just end up as another feeding trough for the looters
