# CITY OF EKURHULENI DRAFT LAND USE SCHEME

**Dear Residents**, please follow the link below to download the proposed Ekurhuleni
land use scheme and read it and if there are issues which concern you, please submit
comments accordingly.

It has potential to change the face of our suburbs by including, work and metal 
working as a home enterprise, and making it possible to operate taverns, spaza and
coffee shops from residential 1 properties under a consent use application.

These recommendations have been justified in order to promote economic development
in the face of the collapsing South African economy and resultant high unemployment
making it possible to generate extra income from one’s home.
