2026-03-20 15:20:31 +02:00 | Simone | No I do not | Proof of immunisation | Other | The Bela Act is a danger to all South Africans. The DA basic education minister is implementing the globalist agenda by wanting to force vaccinate our children. If a child does not want to be vaccinated it is not a problem as the children who are vaccinated are not affected. |

2026-03-19 15:39:51 +02:00 | Ada | Not fully | Admission of non-SA citizens | Quality of performance | 1) Foreign learners, documented or not, must be able to fluently read, write and speak in one of the official tuition language offered by the school. 2) Is the list of diseases immunisations fixed and MAY NOT be altered at a later date? The COVID 19 vaccines which were in testing phase became compulsory and were forced onto citizens with some disastrous results. In future, a certificate of negative testing plus compulsory wearing if masks to replace compulsory vaccinations. 3) If religion is banned at school, then the relevant religious clothing and similar artefacts must be banned as well. (Christian crucifix and hijab, for example, and similar cultural and religious identifications so as not to divide the learners.) 4) Excessive or elaborate hair styles not suitable to learners should not be allowed. Applicable to natural or artificial hair. 5) Learners who identify as LGBT+ should have separate toilet and change-room facilities as those who identify as ‘boys’ or ‘girls’ for safety from sexual harassment. 6) Parents must give written approval for sex education classes - ideally this education should be done by the parents at home when they feel that their children are ready for such education. The sex education tuition material must be made available to the parents to make an informed decision. 7) When learners achieve the age of 19 they are considered adults not learners. They should leave school and complete schooling from home online or by another method. 8) Learners should not bring their babies or younger siblings to school so as not to disrupt classes. 8) Should a learner become pregnant and the father is a fellow learner, he should not be allowed to father other children from other learners. He needs to be instructed to provide assistance to his pregnant learner girlfriend by carrying her suitcases and other ways of support. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. |

2026-03-19 13:48:05 +02:00 | Ingrid | No I do not | Admission of non-SA citizens | Number of teachers and class size | Too many children in a class limits teachers ability to explain and help each child that needs extra support. |

2026-03-18 16:18:17 +02:00 | Siphesihle | Yes I do | No concern | No concern | The success of these regulations will depend primarily on their effective implementation, and not the regulations themselves. Furthermore, the regulations are aligned with their Act, and are likely to ensure the Act is effectively operationalised. |

2026-03-17 18:37:03 +02:00 | Winston | No I do not | Admission of non-SA citizens | Calculating classroom size | ILLEGAL FOREIGNERS are not recorded within out countries boundaries. The Government (DBE) can therefore not calculate the required number of schools, teachers and necessary equipment needed if a limit is not set. It is unsustainable. Not only that, it reduces the right to every other Legal young Citizen to a dignified education. |
2026-03-17 17:53:04 +02:00 | Ursula | No I do not | Admission of non-SA citizens | Determining capacity | How can non-SA citizens be allowed to send children to school. These people must follow the process and apply for citizenship. When they are citizens then their children can attend school. This is the principle across the world!! Why should we be different? Also this results in our classrooms been overfull and our teachers struggling to teach, institute discipline and exposure to illness because of children sharing desks. Parents think teachers must discipline the children but it should start at home. It is also why children get homework because the topics are not adequately covered. Interested to understand how the school fees work in this case? |

2026-03-17 11:56:57 +02:00 | David | No I do not | Other | Other | OTHER = ALL OF THE ABOVE Education is an important issue and as such the teachers should be of high quality. Parents and school boards should be a lot more hands. Ideologies pertaining to especially political and religious issues which include gender, DEI and sex should not be part of any curriculum but issues addressed by parents outside schools. Basic knowledge pertaining to reading with understanding, writing on whatever media, proper mathematics, basic scientific laws in physic, chemistry and biology as well as a broad 'truthful history' of humanity. The ability to reason, critical thinking and basic MORALS should be prioritized. Sport and extra curricular activities should be encouraged. Skills in wood, metal, building, materials etc. should also be encouraged for those with this particular aptitude. I am of the meaning that government should only supply the infrastructure and legislate as to what the population needs and want and no micro management from their side as that will be disastrous as has been proven here and in many parts of the world. |
2026-03-17 11:18:39 +02:00 | Yusuf | No I do not | Special education needs | Curriculum and extracurricular choices | This is a way of forcing People to educate children away from their home and cultural values to a materialistic one mindset. No difference in culture, morals, religion. |

What does the government Minister know about schooling? |
2026-03-17 08:39:24 +02:00 | Jakobus PH | Not fully | Proof of immunisation | Quality of performance | Education nis a very important issue and as such the teacher corpse should be of high quality in their education and numeration. Parents and school boards should be a lot more hands on and ideologies pertaining to especially political and religious issues which include gender, DEI and sex should not be part of any curriculum but issues addressed by parents outside schools. Basic knowledge pertaining to reading with understanding, writing on whatever media, proper mathematics, basic scientific laws in physic, chemistry and biology as well as a broad truthful historical overview of history of humanity as well as the ability to reason and critical thinking should be prioritized. With that sport and extra curricular should be encouraged which would make for a very full and active day in any child's life. Hand skills in wood, metal, building, materials etc. should also be encouraged for those with this particular aptitude. I am of the meaning that government should only supply the infrastructure and legislate as to what the population needs and want and no micro management from their side as that will be disastrous as has been proven here and in many parts of the world. |
